An Overview

Rooted in respect for Indigenous and Traditional knowledge, LANCCI's LOCALIZE initiative merges scientific knowledge with existing Indigenous models. In partnership with Laikipia Wildlife Forum, LANCCI engages school environmental clubs in debates, tree planting, and conservation activities to nurture environmental stewards and promote intergenerational knowledge transfer.

Field Activities

01. Climate and Conservation Education Through School Engagement

LANCCI engages school environmental clubs across Laikipia North in conservation debates, tree planting campaigns, and educational presentations that bridge Indigenous and scientific knowledge. Students explore conservation challenges such as invasive species, participate in hands-on restoration activities, and receive awards recognising their environmental contributions.
