REACH 4 Rangelands (Restore, Enhance and Champion for the Healing of Rangelands)
Restoring degraded rangelands through community-based interventions and indigenous grass reseeding
About This Program
With support from The Global Greengrants Fund, the REACH program has embarked on a mission to restore and revive 15 hectares of degraded lands within the villages of Kurum, Tool and Loishiimi in Laikipia North. The program supports pastoral livelihoods through pasture regeneration via construction of semi-circular bunds and reseeding of indigenous grass species, while reducing soil erosion and conserving water.
